NI is back – and with a vengeance! February 25 marked the return of NI-hosted events to Europe and Germany. The NI Days Germany 2025 took place at the INFINITY Hotel & Conference Resort on the outskirts of Munich, and the quality of the event is only the latest in a series of proofs that NI are walking their talk and working hard on repairing their relationship with the community and their customers.

Partner Event
The day before the actual event, National Instruments (NI) hosted an exclusive event to inaugurate the NI Innovation Center Munich (ICM) in Unterschleißheim near Munich, a state-of-the-art facility designed to showcase NI’s latest technologies and innovations. The ICM serves as a centralized hub where prospects, customers, and partners can engage with cutting-edge solutions through interactive demonstrations.
We were treated to a guided tour of the Innovation Center, experiencing hands-on demonstrations of NI’s latest technologies across various business areas. This was then followed by a Networking Happy Hour, providing a relaxed environment for partners and distributors to discuss collaboration opportunities and share insights.

The inauguration of the NI Innovation Center Munich marks a significant milestone in NI’s commitment to fostering innovation and collaboration within the industry. The ICM will be a great resource for partners and distributors, offering access to NI’s technological advancements.

How Open-Source Workflows Improve LabVIEW Collaboration for Everyone
The LabVIEW ecosystem is home to numerous open-source projects hosted by various community members. NI is now also open-sourcing select components of the LabVIEW platform to empower and activate key contributors among the LabVIEW community, and drive key improvements that will benefit any LabVIEW team and how they collaborate. Together with Sergio Velderrain (NI), Joerg introduced basic concepts like git, gitflow and forking, before Sergio made an actual contribution to our open-source Git API for LabVIEW live and on stage!

Introduction to DQMH
DQMH is probably the most popular 3rd-party framework for LabVIEW and was designed to facilitate the robust implementation of complex LabVIEW applications, while still being accessible to CLAD/CLD-level LabVIEW programmers. Joerg talked about technical aspects as much as business-strategic implications of choosing the DQMH Framework for your project or team.

The NI Days Germany 2025 served as a platform for professionals to engage with cutting-edge technologies, participate in interactive sessions, and connect with experts, all aimed at addressing the evolving challenges in engineering and testing. The one-day event reminded of us of the old days, when the VIP event took place at the Forum Fürstenfeldbruck. NI catered both breakfast and lunch, which is a very nice touch for a free event. We believe it was a genius move of NI to make this great event free to attend, to show its community that NI is back, and they’re walking the talk.
