We are proud to announce that our colleague Ioan Polenciuc has been accepted into the NI LabVIEW Champions Program. A well-deserved recognition of his technical excellence, community engagement, and continued impact on the LabVIEW ecosystem.
A Well-Deserved Recognition
The LabVIEW Champion title is awarded by NI to individuals who not only demonstrate deep technical expertise but also actively contribute to strengthening the global LabVIEW community. Ioan exemplifies this combination.
At Hampel Software Engineering, Ioan plays a key role in shaping how we design and build complex systems. His work consistently reflects:
- Strong architectural thinking in large-scale LabVIEW applications
- A clear focus on maintainability, scalability, and long-term robustness
- Contributions to internal frameworks, tooling, and engineering practices
- Active mentoring and knowledge sharing within the team
These qualities make a tangible difference in both our internal work and the projects we deliver to customers.
Rooted in Community
Ioan’s journey with LabVIEW is closely tied to the community that surrounds it. From early university work to professional engineering, collaboration and shared experience have been central to his development.
As he puts it, much of what he has learned comes from:
- User groups and local meetups
- Conferences and technical discussions
- Open exchange with other engineers solving real-world problems
Becoming a LabVIEW Champion is, in his view, an opportunity to give back — helping to keep the ecosystem practical, open, and collaborative.
Looking Ahead
Ioan is already actively contributing to the community and plans to further expand this involvement, particularly through his involvement with the North of Britain LabVIEW User Group (NOBLUG) and via serving as a member of the board at GDevCon Europe.
His recognition as a LabVIEW Champion is not a starting point, but a continuation of what he has been doing for years: sharing knowledge, improving practices, and engaging with the wider engineering community.
