NI Connect 2026 brought together engineers, architects, technology leaders, partners, and community members from around the world in Fort Worth, Texas. This year’s event was particularly special as NI celebrated its 50th anniversary and LabVIEW’s 40th birthday. For #teamhampelsoft, the week was filled with cybersecurity presentations, panel discussions, community recognition through WUELUG’s Community Catalyst Award, pre-conference bouldering with friends from the community, and even the opportunity to meet—and share lunch with—NI founders Dr. James Truchard and Jeff Kodosky.

NI Days Germany – NI’s flagship event in Europe – convened about 650(!) engineers, system architects, and industry professionals in Munich, delivering two days of practical insights, hands-on demonstrations, and strategic discussions about modern test and measurement, automation, and the role of AI in engineering workflows. A fantastic event, with HSE smack dab in the middle of it all!

The 25th meeting of the Würzburg LabVIEW User Group (WUELUG) marked a small milestone for the community. This time, the group left its usual Würzburg surroundings and gathered at the Siemens Energy Systemprüfhaus in Nuremberg. The change of venue proved worthwhile: the event was fully booked, and tickets even had to be limited due to high demand.

GDevCon came to Brighton this year, bringing together graphical developers from around the world for three days of technical exchange and community building. With almost the entire #teamhampelsoft attending, pre-conference bouldering sessions, and active involvement on the GDevCon Board of Directors, the event was a particular highlight for us. From open-source workflows and AI to software architecture and maintainability, GDevCon once again showcased the strength of the LabVIEW community.

The 24th meeting of the Würzburg LabVIEW User Group (WUELUG) once again brought together the local LabVIEW community for an evening of technical exchange, discussion, and networking. Around 30 participants gathered in the familiar surroundings of the box at HSE’s headquarters at Bürgerbräu, continuing the tradition of combining practical software engineering topics with the relaxed atmosphere that defines WUELUG events.

There’s an abundance of reasons to reuse code that’s been written before, and lots of ways to do so. This was the topic of WUELUG23, hosted by Innowep at SKZ right here in Würzburg. We looked not only at ways of maintaining and then including generic code into projects, but also at tools and technologies that help with keeping track of reused code.
