The LabVIEW Developer Days (DevDays) in Nürnberg form the one NI event that’s taking place on our home soil – sort of. So, obviously, we never miss the chance to meet up with the local LabVIEW community and our NI contacts. A perfect opportunity to stay in touch and keep relationships alive!
One year ago, we had already expanded our team to meet the ever increasing demands of our customers. Due to the successful expansion, we are now opening up new potentials.

“Best Practices” are methods or techniques that are accepted as superior to alternative ways, so we should expect anybody to adopt them. Surprisingly, we all dodge best practices – because they’re too complex, too much effort, or too (insert-other-excuse-here). But why not take small steps?
The CLD certification (Certified LabVIEW Developer) is the middle one of three LabVIEW certifications. Ok, there is a fourth, but the CLED is somewhere parallel to the CLA. Earning CLD was one of my resolutions for the beginning of 2018. The LabVIEW certifications are part of my plan to become a LabVIEW expert. Of course, my boss likes it when I engage in further education. Beside my personal motivations, with the CLD you get a nice proof of your LabVIEW skills. You’re not a bloody beginner anymore and at least it’s a cool badge in the NI forum.
In this post I want to write a little bit about my way to the CLD certification and give you a lead to find your own way.
Nine fellow LabVIEW wirers(*) came together yesterday evening at our offices, and we immediately synced our vibes and engaged in interesting discussions. With the next two meetings and their topics already scheduled, we’re looking forward to an active WUELUG future!
One way of giving back to a community is making the effort of bringing people together, helping them meet new friends and connect to each other. That’s why, together with NI, we’re starting up the LabVIEW User Group Wuerzburg (short: WUELUG)!
As a Certified LabVIEW Architect, I’ve attended the last four European CLA Summits in Rome, Berlin, Vienna, and now this year in Madrid. With every summit, this event feels more like a family reunion, with one exception: Conversations are way more interesting!
Sometimes (actually more often than not), we want our modules to be more than passive libraries. We want them to do more than merely sit there, waiting for work to be thrown at them. Modules shall actively poll for information, acquire data from hardware, manage network connections, and more. We want DQMH “Actors”!
We have been doing a lot of work recently based on the Delacor Queued Message Handler (DQMH). For one of the modules we came up with, the Generic Networking Template for DQMH, I was offered the opportunity to write an article on Delacor’s blog.
